Fast food chain Burger King confirms that they’ve been using horse meat for their burgers. This accusation is not new. At first, there were rumors spread out and, so people were just doubting and Burger King never admitted officially. But, last Thursday, they made an announcement, saying that the tests were wrong. Also, they expressed their sincere apology to the customers, and they said that it wasn’t their fault.
Silvercrest is the company that produces meat for Burger King. They also supplied meat to Asda, Co-op and Tesco. The ingredients in the meat they were producing have been forbidden since last year.
On this question, Burger King shared their discovery with the public, that Silvercrest is using small percent of beef originating from non-approved Polish sellers. They promised to provide them with 100% British and Irish beef cutlets, but they didn’t accomplish the promised contract.
They also declared that this action is against the strict Burger King’s policy, and they definitely ended up their partnership with this Polish supplier. So, the problem with the contaminated meat was Silvercrest’s mistake, not Burger King’s. This worldwide popular fast food brand assures you.
