Ear infection is a very common condition. It is usually caused by bacteria and viruses in the middle ear.
Signs that show you are having an ear infection:
3. Headache tugging at the ear
4. Poor response to sounds
5. Fluid drainage from the ear
7. Sleeping disorders
8. High fever
Children happen to suffer more of ear infections than adults.
Let us explain to you how the sense of hearing works. The ear has three parts: outer, middle, and inner and each part has significant role in the process of hearing. The outer ear looks like a leaf and it captures the travelling sound waves.
The pinna, an ear part, enables the sound waves to enter the ear channel. Then the sound waves travel to the eardrum in the middle ear, where other important parts are located such as: hammer, anvil, stir up, semicircular, and middle canal.
The sound wave then, reaches the inner ear where other important parts are located, the cochlea, Eustachian tube, and nerves. Once the sound wave reaches the nerves, the brain begins with the processing and we are able to recognize and understand the sound.
The inner ear is the one which is most likely to develop infections. If you react on time with proper treatment, you can prevent damaged and raptured ear drum. If not treated on time, this condition may become chronic and it can even lead to hearing loss.
Luckily, there are home remedies which will help you cure ear infection and earache. Take a look at the following natural treatments:
