Health experts at the University of Harvard reveal that consuming chicken skin in moderate amounts, is good for your health. Additionally, chicken skin has many health benefits.

Contrary to the notion so far, chicken skin is not harmful for your heart. Chicken skin contains unsaturated fats that are necessary for proper functioning of your heart. Unsaturated fats lower blood pressure, brings down the bad cholesterol, and prevent hormonal imbalance.

A 12-ounce serving of skin-on chicken, has only 50 more calories than a 12-ounce serving of skinless chicken.

It has rich flavor

You don’t have to add extra salt to enrich the taste of chicken. Consuming salt in excessive amount can be a risk factor to many health problems.

Chicken doesn’t absorb much oil

While cooking it, the chicken meat is not absorbing much oil, which is also good news for you. The skin protects the meat and acts like a crust, which preserves the good taste and moisture.
