1. Specialty Coffee Drinks

Regular coffee drinks are high in syrups and sugar while the skinny products are high in artificial sweeteners. You can start your day with a black coffee but not with mocha coffee because it contains more than 35 grams of sugar or nearly 9 teaspoons.

2. Bagels

Bagels are large bread products. They contain more than 45 grams carbs. These carbs can increase the insulin levels in the body.

As a result of this they can cause insulin resistance, which is the leading factor for many chronic diseases such as heart disease or sometimes even cancer.

3. Soda (Regular or Diet)

Soda is high in sugar but even worse substance are artificial sweeteners. For instance, aspartame is usually used as a sugar substitute in most diet sodas.

It has more than 92 bad side-effects that can lead to some serious health problems such as emotional disorders, epilepsy, birth defects, diabetes, or even brain tumors.

Every sip of some soda drink exposes you to:

  • Sodium benzoate. It can cause cirrhosis, DNA damage, and Parkinson’s disease.
  • Phosphoric acid. It obstructs the body’s ability to use calcium and causes osteoporosis.
  • Benzene. It is a carcinogen compound and the researchers have found that some soft drinks have more than 79 ppb.
  • Artificial food colors. A particular carcinogenic food color is the caramel coloring.

4. Cereals

Most cereals are a combination of high-fructose syrup, sugar, and GMO corn. Children cereals are the worst possible type.

5. Submarine Sandwiches

These sandwiches include a large serving of bread, high in carbs and processed meat, high in sodium nitrite, preservatives, MSG, high-fructose corn syrup, colors, and artificial flavors.

6. Commercial Yogurt

Traditionally fermented yogurt abounds with probiotics or healthy bacteria which improve digestion and increase the healthy flora in the intestines.

However, pasteurized yogurts don’t have the same benefits because the process of pasteurization kills all the healthy enzymes and nutrients.

For a healthier variety, combine some plain yogurt with berries, stevia or cinnamon.

7. Muffins

Muffins contain high amounts of carbs and sugar and low nutritive content. When you consume some muffin is the same as you consume a plate of pancakes.

This instantly increases your insulin and blood sugar level and drains your energy. So, stay away from doughnuts and muffins.

8. Orange Juice

Pasteurized orange juice have never been a healthy drink. It is high in artificial flavors and colors, added sugar, and high-fructose corn syrup.

Many studies have revealed that increased consumption of some fruit juice instantly increases the risk of obesity. Even the freshly squeezed juice can contain up to 8 teaspoons of fructose which can increase the insulin levels.

So, if you suffer from type II diabetes, hypertension, or cancer you should avoid any fruit juices.

9. Fruit Smoothies

Smoothies are famous as a healthy substitute for many fruits and veggies. But be careful, because they are not the right choice for you. They hideadded sugars and high level of fructose.

10. Potato Chips

Chips are unhealthy fats, tons of processed sodium and refined carbohydrates. During the process of chips production, one harmful chemical called acrylamide is formed.

According to the Agency for Research on Cancer highlights acrylamide is carcinogen and can lead to increased risk of numerous cancers.
