Numerous of people believe that 120 over 80 is a normal blood pressure, but ESC Association hand out new guidelines, according to which the normal blood pressure is 140 over 90.
This is not a normal blood pressure for people with diabetes and older people. A normal blood pressure for them is 130 over 80.
Until today we all thought that if someone’s blood pressure is 139 over 89 that person is in a hypertensive condition and needs to take medications immediately in order to avoid increased risk of stroke and heart attack.
Blood pressure is considered to be low when blood pressure is less than 90 mm over 60 mmHg. But if your blood pressure is lower — less than 80/50 mmHg — or you experience a sudden drop in blood pressure, you should consult your doctor immediately.
If you experience low blood pressure and do not have any worrying symptoms, such as headaches, dizziness, or an abnormal heart rate, you shouldn’t worry.
