1. Silicone oil

2. Ammonium sulfate

Ammonium sulfate is an inorganic salt. It can be used as a fertilizers and flame retardant. It has been an ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide. Unluckily, it is also found in a burger bun and can promote irritation of the gastrointestinal tract, nausea, diarrhea, and hormone imbalance.


Tertiary butylhydroquinone (TBHQ), is an additive based on petroleum. It is an ingredient of many cosmetic products and 18 McDonald’s products. The FDA has categorized TBHQ as a totally safe for consumption. Unfortunately, if consume it on a long-term it can cause ADHD symptoms, damaged DNA, stomach cancer and even death.

4. Cysteine-L

Cysteine-L is an amino acid which is produced from human hair or duck feathers. It is generally used to soften bread and pastries and to flavor the meat. Regular intake of cysteine-L can lead to low blood pressure, diarrhea, fever, rashes, constipation, vomiting, heartaches, drowsiness and liver problems.

5. Prescription drugs

The examiners from the Johns Hopkins University have found high levels of antidepressants and other banned drugs in the chicken products and chicken food. We are all familiar with the fact that McDonald’s does not use organic chicken. It means that its chicken products definitely contain some traces of antibiotics and prescription medications.

6. Propylene glycol

Propylene glycol is a substance found in e-cigarettes, fast food, and antifreeze, and can lead to allergies, damage to the central nervous system, and skin and eye conditions.

7. Carminic acid

Carminic acid is a red food dye which is derivative by cochineal beetles. Producers used carminic acid in the fast food because it gives vibrant color. Though categorized as natural dyes, FDA needs cochineal extract and carmine to be identified because they are connected with serious allergic reactions.

8. Dimethylpolysiloxane

This substance is often an ingredient in cooking oils. Unfortunately, it is used for the preparation of McDonald’s French fries, filet-o-fish, and famous chicken nuggets. This substance is also used in the production of breast implants, conditioners, shampoos, cosmetics, silly putty, contact lenses, caulking, heat resistant tiles, and polishes.

9. Silicon dioxide

Silicon dioxide is a substance is also known as industrial sand or silica. It is used in the production of optical fibers, cement, and glass. Unfortunately, it is also used in the preparation of fast food because it prevents meat and sauces from clumping together. Employees who use silicone dioxide for industrial purposes, wear hazmat suits and masks.

10. Cellulose

Cellulose a natural product made from wood pulp. Cellulose is an ingredient added to almost every fast food. Producers regularly add it in order to add volume. It is found in muffins, strawberry syrup, cheese, salad dressing and many others.
