The world is a fascinating place, I assure you, and life can be wonderful. If you haven’t realized it yet, you might have been surrounded by too much negativity in your life.
Let’s face it, none of us is perfect. We all make mistakes, we hurt the ones we love, we mess up, we are stubborn and grumpy, we get disappointed and sad.. but toxic people are dangerous.
These people never self-reflect, they are smart, but know nothing of emotional intelligence. Yet, their victims are usually open-hearted, generous, kind, and caring individuals.
Sometimes, these people end up trapped, full of toxic energy, in the company of people who poison their lives, without even being aware of it. It is never easy to cut ties with a fake friend or a cruel colleague, but it is even more difficult when you have to deal with a toxic relative.
Our family is our home, our sacred place in life, the only place where we can feel protected, safe, and loved unconditionally. Yet, things are not always that simple. Sometimes, our closest ones can start negatively affecting our life.
There are things you should never tolerate- when they try to control your own choices, your entire life, or when they blame you for everything, constantly criticize you and rob you of your dreams.
Don’t let them destroy your life, even if they are the ones you love the most. No one is allowed to treat you bad and destroy everything you hold dear and being related by blood is no excuse!
If they don’t respect you, they deserve to be treated like strangers.
It is tough to accept it at first..it can get even tougher and more complex to come to terms and try to deal with it. Yet, it is not rude nor selfish to protect yourself and cut toxic family members.
Unfortunately, no one can completely avoid toxic people. We meet them daily, work with them, live with them. What you need to understand is that you cannot change them, no matter how hard you try.
Therefore, it is better to stop trying and save your energy. Focus on yourself and change your life instead. You are the creator of your life, and you are the one responsible for your happiness and health.
Don’t be afraid to take your life back and listen to your heart.
Every single one of us deserves to be treated right, respected, cared for, loves. We all deserve peace and tranquility. If anyone is trying to take it away from you, it’s time to choose yourself, and walk away.
